Former US President Donald Trump has been found liable for using the song 'Electric Avenue' by Eddy Grant in a campaign video without permission.
The judge ruled that Mr. Trump breached Mr. Grant's copyright and ordered him to pay damages and legal fees.
The video, which featured a 40-second clip of the song, was viewed millions of times before being removed from Twitter.
This legal battle began in 2020 when Mr. Grant sent a cease and desist letter to Mr. Trump's campaign team.
