Ukraine secured the release of 49 Ukrainian prisoners of war in a prisoner swap with Russia.
The exchange was mediated by the United Arab Emirates and saw Ukrainian soldiers returned to their homeland.
President Zelenskyy expressed gratitude to Ukrainian military units for capturing Russian soldiers, which he credits with enabling these prisoner exchanges.
The recent swap is the second since Ukraine began taking territory in Russia's Kursk region, where most of the captured prisoners are held.
