The UK is giving back the Chagos Islands to Mauritius, but the important military base on Diego Garcia will stay with the UK.
The government says this is the best way to keep the base safe and strong for a long time.
The deal also lets some people go back to the islands because they had to leave many years ago.
This doesn't mean that other UK islands like Gibraltar or the Falkland Islands will be given away.
