Tesla’s Cybertruck has an interesting feature where its bed power outlets can’t be used when the vehicle is plugged in for charging, except when using a Supercharger.
The reason behind this quirk is the AC/DC converter, which converts household electricity to the direct current needed to charge the Cybertruck’s battery.
This same converter is also used to power the bed outlets, so the system can’t handle both tasks simultaneously.
Tesla’s lead engineer has confirmed that future updates may allow for simultaneous charging and power outlet usage.
