Washington State has revamped its electric vehicle (EV) rebate program, making it more accessible to lower and middle-income residents.
The new program offers up to $9,000 in rebates for those leasing a new EV for three years and up to $5,000 for those financing a new EV.
The program also offers a $2,500 rebate for used EV purchases, with income requirements and a maximum MSRP of $90,000 for eligible vehicles.
The state's $45 million investment in the program is expected to help as many as 9,000 residents transition to electric vehicles.
