There's a common belief that Bungie hated Naughty Dog's planned multiplayer game for 'The Last of Us 2' and forced them to cancel it.
However, Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier revealed that Bungie actually provided helpful feedback that led Naughty Dog to make the smart decision to abandon the project.
Schreier pointed out that many single-player studios have struggled when trying to create successful service games, citing examples like 'Anthem' and 'Marvel's Avengers'.
While the cancellation was disappointing, it seems like Bungie's expertise helped Naughty Dog avoid a potential disaster.
