Heliotrope, a design studio, built a modern extension onto a 1930s home in Seattle that used to belong to a ship captain.
The extension includes a new kitchen with a big island, a breakfast nook, and even a garden on the roof.
The design uses natural materials like wood and brick to match the original house's Scandinavian style.
The architects wanted to create a new space that respects the history of the house but also feels fresh and modern.
