Boeing has agreed to plead guilty to a felony charge for defrauding the government in connection with the two fatal crashes of the 737 Max in 2018 and 2019.
As part of the deal, Boeing will pay a $487.2 million fine and invest at least $455 million to improve its safety programs.
The company will be on probation for three years and will be supervised by a compliance monitor appointed by the Justice Department.
Boeing's board of directors will also be required to meet with families of the crash victims.
