A deadly airstrike in Lviv, Ukraine, has left at least two people dead and over 20 injured, according to the regional governor.
The attack, which occurred early Wednesday, also caused fires in residential buildings and forced the closure of two schools.
Explosions were heard in Kyiv as Ukrainian air defenses engaged Russian missiles, prompting a nationwide air alert.
These attacks come just a day after 51 people were killed in a separate air strike in the city of Poltava, where rescue efforts are still ongoing.
