An Air India flight bound for Chicago made an unexpected landing in Iqaluit, Canada, after a false bomb threat was reported.
The emergency landing occurred shortly before sunrise on Tuesday, following a period of heightened tensions between Canada and India.
The plane, carrying 211 crew and passengers, landed safely in Iqaluit, located north of the Arctic Circle, after a threat was relayed to the flight's captain from an individual in India.
Air India responded by activating security protocols and assisting passengers until their journey could resume.
