Three individuals have been charged with criminal damage after throwing soup at two iconic Vincent Van Gogh paintings at the National Gallery in London.
The incident occurred during the highly praised "Poets and Lovers" exhibition, where Sunflowers 1888 and Sunflowers 1889 were targeted.
The paintings, which were temporarily removed for examination, were fortunately found to be undamaged.
The Metropolitan Police arrested Stephen Simpson, Mary Somerville, and Phillipa Green, who will appear in court on Monday.
