Learn English: Russian Plane Breaks Japanese Air Rules (normal)

A Russian military plane flew into Japanese airspace near Hokkaido Island on Monday, even though it wasn't allowed to.

Japan's military sent fighter jets to intercept the Russian plane and fired flares as a warning.

This was the first time Japan used flares to stop a plane from violating their airspace.

The Japanese government complained to Russia about the incident and told them to make sure it doesn't happen again.
