Max Scherzer and Jacob deGrom, two of baseball's most renowned pitchers, are set to rejoin the Texas Rangers rotation this week after lengthy absences due to injuries.
Manager Bruce Bochy announced that deGrom will take the mound on Friday, followed by Scherzer on Saturday.
Both pitchers are expected to pitch limited innings in their return, with the possibility of extending their outings if they perform well.
The Rangers are currently fighting for a playoff spot, trailing by six games for the final wild-card position.
