DirecTV, the satellite and streaming television provider, is increasing its prices next month, starting on October 6th.
This price hike comes as DirecTV is currently in a dispute with Disney, resulting in the removal of channels like ESPN and ABC from its lineup.
The company claims the price increase is necessary to remain competitive in the market and to cover rising costs from television networks.
DirecTV is also offering customers a $30 credit to switch to streaming services like Sling or Fubo in an attempt to retain subscribers during the blackout.
