Chicago Bulls point guard Lonzo Ball took a major step in his recovery from a knee injury by playing in a 5-on-5 scrimmage in Los Angeles.
Ball has been sidelined since January 2021 due to multiple knee surgeries, but he expressed optimism about returning to the court for the 2024-25 season.
He has undergone three knee procedures since his initial injury, including a cartilage transplant in March 2023.
The Bulls, who lost leading scorer DeMar DeRozan in free agency, hope Ball's return will boost their chances of making the playoffs.
