Oscar-winning actress Sally Field is in talks to lead the Netflix adaptation of Shelby Van Pelt's popular novel, 'Remarkably Bright Creatures'.
The film, directed by Olivia Newman of 'Where the Crawdads Sing' fame, tells the story of a widow who develops an unusual friendship with an octopus.
Field, known for her roles in 'Norma Rae', 'Places in the Heart', and 'Forrest Gump', will play the widow who forms this unique bond.
The film is set to be produced by David Levine, Bryan Unkeless, and Peter Craig, and is expected to begin filming soon.
