The San Francisco 49ers have released veteran tight end Logan Thomas, who was recently signed as a backup to star tight end George Kittle.
This move comes as part of a roster shuffle, with the team also placing defensive lineman Austin Bryant on injured reserve.
Thomas had missed time due to a hamstring injury and was entering his age-33 season, having previously played for the Washington Commanders and Arizona Cardinals.
While Thomas’s past production has been inconsistent, he may still find a new team once he is healthy.
