Divers in the Baltic Sea discovered a 19th-century shipwreck loaded with champagne, wine, and mineral water, suggesting a luxurious cargo.
The find, made by the Polish diving group Baltitech, included over 100 bottles of champagne, leading them to believe the ship was bound for the Russian Tsar.
The mineral water, a rare and expensive commodity in the 19th century, was considered almost a medicine and was only found on the tables of royalty.
The discovery highlights the historical significance of shipwrecks and offers a glimpse into the maritime trade and social practices of the past.
