This plan, announced in 2023, aimed to provide passengers with financial compensation for airline-caused delays and cancellations.
The proposed rule would have guaranteed passengers between $200 and $775, plus additional amenities for significant disruptions.
While popular with consumers, airlines argued the plan would increase operating costs and subsequently ticket prices for everyone.
