A Yazidi woman, kidnapped at age 11 by ISIS terrorists, was held captive in Gaza for 10 years, forced into marriage with a Hamas fighter.
Through a coordinated effort involving Israel, the United States, and other international actors, she was rescued and reunited with her family in Iraq.
The operation was led by the IDF’s Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories unit, with assistance from the U.S. Embassy in Israel.
The rescue highlights the growing connection between Hamas and ISIS, as well as the ongoing efforts to combat these terrorist groups and free their hostages.
