Venice, famous for its canals and historic buildings, has been struggling with too many tourists, especially those who visit for just one day.
To reduce the crowds, they started charging a €5 entrance fee for visitors arriving on certain days between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.
The mayor thinks the fee has helped, but they need to look at the results more carefully before they know for sure.
The city made much more money from the fee than they expected, which is surprising and might mean the fee didn't work as well as hoped.
