Apple has decided to discontinue its Apple Pay Later program, which allowed users to make purchases in installments, and will no longer offer loans for it.
This program was only available in the United States and allowed customers to split the cost of Apple Pay purchases into four equal payments over six weeks.
In its place, Apple will be integrating third-party services, such as Affirm Holdings Inc. and Citigroup Inc., into its upcoming iOS 18 software for global installment loan offerings.
Apple Pay Later users will still be able to manage their open loans within the Wallet app.
