Apple has decided to close down its Apple Pay Later program, which let people pay for things in installments.
This service was only available in the US and allowed users to split the cost of Apple Pay purchases into four equal payments over six weeks.
Apple is now going to offer a new way to pay in installments, but it will use other companies' services instead, which will be available globally in the upcoming iOS 18 software update.
If you're still using Apple Pay Later, you can still manage it in the Wallet app, but Apple won't be offering new loans through this service.
