The European Union has again delayed imposing retaliatory tariffs on American exports, a move initially planned for this week.
These countermeasures, a response to earlier US tariffs on steel and aluminum, would have impacted €21 billion in US goods.
The delay, until early August, allows for continued negotiations to resolve the trade dispute between the two economic giants.
This postponement follows a letter from President Trump threatening further tariffs if the EU proceeds with its own retaliatory actions.
