South Texas residents overwhelmingly voted to establish Starbase, SpaceX's main rocket launch site, as an official city.
The community, known as Boca Chica, will now govern itself, controlling local services and infrastructure.
This incorporation allows Starbase to manage its own affairs, including essential services such as police and fire departments.
Elon Musk's vision for a self-sufficient community centered around SpaceX has thus become a reality.
