American citizen Faye Hall, detained in Afghanistan, has been released by the Taliban and is now safely returning home.
Former U.S. Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad announced Hall's release, crediting Qatar for their assistance in securing her freedom.
Hall expressed gratitude for her repatriation and highlighted the plight of other women still imprisoned in Afghanistan.
This release follows several other instances of U.S. citizens being freed from Taliban custody this year.
