A recent Google Maps glitch caused some users to lose their location history, known as Timeline data.
Google acknowledged a temporary technical problem resulting in this data deletion for a number of affected users.
Fortunately, those with automatic backups enabled can easily restore their lost Timeline information.
However, users who didn't have backups enabled will unfortunately not be able to recover their deleted data.
