Disney's 'Mufasa: The Lion King' topped the weekend box office, surpassing 'Sonic the Hedgehog 3' in a strong showing.
Despite a slow start, 'Mufasa' earned an impressive $7.6 million on Friday, pushing its North American total past $150 million.
While 'Mufasa' hasn't quite reached the heights of its predecessor, its performance, particularly internationally, is still noteworthy.
Other notable films making a strong showing include 'Sonic 3', 'Nosferatu', 'Moana 2', and 'Wicked', all enjoying continued success.
