A lot of people wanted to show they didn't like what was happening in Israel and Palestine, but the city said no protests were allowed.
This was because some fans from an Israeli football team were hurt in Amsterdam, and the city thought it was because of mean things people said about Jewish people.
But the people protesting said they were against the bad things that happened in Gaza and the bad things some of the Israeli fans did.
Even though they weren't allowed to protest, some people did and got in trouble with the police.
