The United States has urged Israel to stop firing at UN peacekeepers in Lebanon, following two separate incidents where Israeli forces have targeted UN positions.
In both incidents, UN soldiers were injured, with one incident involving an Israeli tank firing towards a UN observation tower.
The leaders of France, Italy, and Spain have condemned Israel's actions, calling them unjustifiable and demanding an immediate end to such attacks.
The UN peacekeeping mission in Lebanon has expressed concern over the incidents, noting that some of the firing on UN positions appears to have been deliberate.
