YES Network and MSG Networks, two major sports networks in New York, are joining forces to create a new streaming service called The Gotham Sports App.
This app will offer live games from popular New York teams like the Yankees, Knicks, Rangers, and Nets.
Fans who subscribe to YES or MSG through cable will get the app for free, while others can purchase individual subscriptions or a combined package.
The launch of The Gotham Sports App comes at a time when other networks are also exploring new ways to deliver sports content to viewers who are moving away from traditional cable.
