Leeds United, a club in England's second-tier football league, is reportedly in talks to sign Ao Tanaka, a Japanese midfielder currently playing for Fortuna Dusseldorf.
Tanaka, a 25-year-old with 27 caps for the Japanese national team, has a release clause of just £2.65 million in his contract.
If the deal goes through, Tanaka could even be available to play for Leeds this weekend against Hull City.
This potential signing comes after a difficult summer transfer window for Leeds, who have seen several key players leave the club.
