Italian authorities are investigating the captain of the superyacht Bayesian, which sank last week off the coast of Sicily, killing seven people.
The captain, James Cutfield, is being investigated for possible manslaughter due to his actions potentially causing the shipwreck.
The investigation does not automatically mean charges will be filed, and the captain's movements have not been restricted.
Prosecutors are seeking cooperation from the crew members, who are still in Italy, to answer questions about the incident.
