Ilkay Gundogan, a star midfielder for Barcelona, has decided to retire from playing for the German national team.
He played 82 games for Germany, scoring 19 goals, and captained the team at the Euro 2024 tournament.
Gundogan said he feels tired both physically and mentally, and it's time for him to focus on his club career.
He's proud of his time with the German team and hopes they continue to succeed, especially at the 2026 World Cup.
