Kochi City, located on the island of Shikoku in Japan, is building a new facility called GEAR, dedicated to supporting anime creators.
This eight-story building will include offices, co-working spaces, business incubators, an animator training center, and a shared studio.
The first floor will feature a gallery showcasing anime, attracting both professionals and tourists.
Construction begins this year and is expected to be completed in 2027, marking a significant step in Kochi's efforts to become an anime hub.
