Labour wants to make private schools pay more so that state schools get more money, but it could end up hurting state schools in the long run.
If private schools have to pay more, some might close down, and all those kids would have to go to state schools, which are already crowded.
But private schools also have extra resources like sports fields and special classes that could benefit everyone.
Maybe instead of just making private schools pay more, we should figure out how they can work with state schools to make education better for everyone.
