Imagine a giant hole, as big as a house, appearing in the middle of your soccer field!

That's what happened in Alton, Illinois, where a sinkhole suddenly opened up, swallowing part of the field.

The hole was so big, it was like a giant's footprint! Luckily, no one was hurt because the field wasn't being used at the time.

Now, people are trying to figure out why the hole appeared and how to fix it.
