A UK citizen has been sentenced to prison for conspiring to procure high-powered microwave and counter-drone systems from the US to Iran.
Saber Fakih, along with several others, conspired to export an industrial microwave system and counter-drone system for potential military use.
The systems could be used as directed-energy weapons and to control unmanned aerial vehicles.
Fakih's actions violated sanctions regulations and posed a significant risk to national security.
