OpenAI has promised to assist business-tier ChatGPT users with their legal expenses if they are accused of copyright infringement.
This special support, called Copyright Shield, does not apply to users of the free and Plus ChatGPT versions.
During OpenAI's DevDay conference, CEO Sam Altman declared that they will protect their customers and cover the costs if they face copyright-related legal claims.
Google, Microsoft, and other technology companies are also offering similar legal protection to their users.
