After an incredible 220-day mission aboard the International Space Station, veteran astronaut Dan Pettit returned home to Earth.
His journey included 3,520 orbits around our planet, marking his fourth space mission and adding to his impressive 590 days in space.
The Soyuz MS-26 spacecraft landed safely in Kazakhstan, bringing Pettit and his crewmates back to Earth on his actual 70th birthday.
Following a period of readjustment to Earth's gravity, Pettit will soon travel to Houston, Texas, for further activities.
