Asot Michael, a member of parliament in Antigua, was found dead in his home on Tuesday, and police have arrested a man named Alexta Francis in connection with his death.
Michael, a successful businessman, was known for his charitable work but also faced controversy due to his involvement in a bribery scandal.
Francis, a 26-year-old landscaper, was arrested two days after the discovery of Michael's body and will appear in court on Monday.
The police commissioner praised the investigators for their work, but they haven't yet revealed the motive for the murder.
