Houston-based rapper BeatKing, known for hits like “Crush” and “Then Leave”, has tragically passed away at the age of 39 due to a pulmonary embolism.
BeatKing, whose real name was Justin Riley, reportedly fainted during a recording session and was rushed to the hospital, where he was diagnosed with the life-threatening condition.
Pulmonary embolisms occur when a blood clot travels to the lungs, blocking blood flow and potentially causing heart failure.
BeatKing’s music career spanned over a decade, and he collaborated with numerous renowned artists, including 2 Chainz, Bun B, and T-Pain.
