A Florida man, identified as Christopher Morgan, was arrested early Monday morning after a bizarre incident at a Walgreens in New Smyrna Beach.
Morgan, having entered the store hours earlier, locked himself in the restroom, waited until closing time, and then proceeded to raid the store's snacks and cigarettes.
Police responded to the alarm, found Morgan inside, and apprehended him with his pockets full of candy and a pack of cigarettes.
Morgan was charged with burglary, theft, resisting arrest, and battery on a law enforcement officer, adding to his existing record of petty theft convictions.
