A 61-year-old New Jersey woman, Debrina Kawam, tragically perished in a brutal arson attack on a Brooklyn subway.
Sebastian Zapeta, a 33-year-old man, is accused of setting Ms. Kawam on fire while she slept on the train.
Authorities faced challenges identifying the victim due to the severity of the burns, delaying the notification of her family.
Zapeta, who claims amnesia, faces murder and arson charges, with a court appearance scheduled for early January.
