Rouen Cathedral, a historic French landmark, experienced a fire on Thursday, sparking fears of another major incident like the Notre Dame fire in 2019.
The fire, which broke out near the spire, was quickly extinguished by firefighters, limiting damage to the metal structure and protective coverings.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported and the extent of the damage was minimal, but the cathedral will be monitored closely.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated, and the cathedral remains closed to the public until further notice.
