Tesla is installing 600 MWh of Megapacks at Ørsted's Hornsea 3 Offshore Wind Farm in the UK to support renewable energy production.
These energy storage systems will store excess energy produced by the wind farm during periods of low demand.
The stored energy will be released during peak demand periods, helping to stabilize the grid and reduce reliance on fossil fuels.
The Megapacks are equivalent to the daily energy consumption of 80,000 UK homes, highlighting the potential of energy storage to improve grid efficiency and reliability.
