Over 160 businesses that use Snowflake, a data storage company, were hacked by a group called UNC5537.
The hackers stole login credentials and used them to break into Snowflake accounts.
Snowflake is taking steps to improve security, but businesses should also make sure to use strong passwords and enable multifactor authentication.
Multifactor authentication requires users to enter a code from their phone or email in addition to their password, making it harder for hackers to gain access to accounts.
